On February 24, members of the Writers Guild Staff Union (WGSU) held a rally with members and allies on the picket line outside the WGA Headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. The WGSU is represented by the Pacific Northwest Staff Union (PNWSU).
WGSU has been on strike since Feb 17, alleging bad faith bargaining and other Unfair Labor Practices. WGA members joined WGSU on the picket line in solidarity, urging WGA management to get back to the bargaining table and settle these negotiations as quickly as possible.
According to recent reporting, WGA management gave their last, best, and final offer on Tuesday, and said that if the strike is not settled soon, they will cancel the WGA Awards.
